Conference Championship Preview/Predictions

Graphic creds to Bradly W. Stewart

By: Joe Smeltzer
Three of us are gone, two of us are left. Let's see who has the better picks between Jeff Stewart and yours truly.
Jags at Patriots
Line: NE -7.5

Joe: I don't think this will be a walk in the park for New England. We all know what Jacksonville's defense is capable of, so I wouldn't be surprised if it gave the Patriots fits regardless of how healthy Tom Brady is. With that said, how do you pick against the Pats in Foxborough?

Patriots 21, Jags 13

Jeff: The Patriots have been in this position before and that will help them against a team that has never been this far. I also think the weather will be a factor as the Jags have played in Florida for half the year.

Vikings at Eagles
Line: Min -3.0

Joe: Here are two of the league's top defenses, so don't expect to see a lot of points on the Lincoln Financial Field scoreboard. On paper, Minnesota has a slight edge against a Carson Wentz-less Eagles team. But I have a feeling about Philly. It seems like a "destiny" type of season, and I think the Eagles defense is more than capable of playing well enough for Nick Foles to win. Fly Eagles Fly, on the road to the Super Bowl.

Eagles 15, Vikings 13

Jeff: I think this will be a close game, but Case Keenum has played for most of the year and is, for sure, the more experienced quarterback. This advantage will lift the Vikings to victory and the Super Bowl.
